Dr Roberto Orefice

B.App Sc (Physiotherapy) MBBS AFHEA FRANZCOG DDU CMFM

Dr Roberto Orefice is an experienced obstetrician and Maternal Fetal medicine Specialist. Roberto provides individualised, evidenced based, women centred care.


Roberto is a local Canberran who obtained his post graduate medical qualification through the Australian National University. Roberto completed his Obstetrics and Gynaecology training in Canberra where he embarked in further subspecialty training in Maternal Fetal Medicine, finishing his Fellowship at King Edward Memorial Hospital in Perth.


Roberto is a consultant at the Fetal Medicine Unit at the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children, where he manages high risk pregnancies. He has a special interest in pre term birth prevention, pre eclampsia and also provides pre pregnancy counselling. He is a lecturer at The Australian National University and is involved in training and supervising junior doctors. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.

Dr Danica Vress

BForSci (UC) MBBS (ANU) MPH (UNSW) FRANZCOG

Danica is a Canberra-born Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with interests in early pregnancy, sexual and reproductive health, colposcopy and general gynaecology and obstetrics.


Danica attained her MBBS from the ANU and then trained in ACT and Victoria. She is the clinical lead for obstetrics and early pregnancy at TCH as well as a RANZCOG training supervisor and lectures at the ANU. She also has interests in health leadership and has done a Master of Public Health via UNSW, is involved in the local RANZCOG ACT committee, the AMA ACT Board and ACT Health clinical governance committees. Danica aims to always practice evidence based, patient centred and value-based care.

Dr Toni Tse

MBBS FRANZCOG

Toni is a caring female Obstetrician & Gynaecologist who values the personal connections she develops with patients and seeks to make them feel safe and supported whilst optimising their health to improve their quality of life.


Toni grew up in Sydney before completing her medical degree at Monash University in Melbourne. She undertook her specialist training through Westmead Hospital, Sydney and Royal Darwin Hospital where she developed experience delivering women’s healthcare across a variety of metropolitan, regional and remote settings. She furthered her surgical skills during a two-year fellowship focusing on minimally invasive surgery, advanced laparoscopy and vaginal surgery at the Royal Adelaide (RAH) and Queen Elizabeth hospitals before joining Flinders Medical Centre as a Staff Specialist. Here she was able to combine her advanced surgical and Obstetric expertise, providing life-saving surgeries for pregnant women as part of the specialised statewide Placenta Accreta Spectrum (PAS) team. 


Toni has a passion for medical education and is a certified training supervisor for the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (RANZCOG), inspiring and guiding the next generation of healthcare practitioners. She moved to Canberra with her husband and two children in 2023 and is thrilled to join the team at Capital Specialist Centre to provide individualised and specialised care for patients. She can converse in Cantonese.

Dr Natalie De Cure

BMSc (ANU) MBBS (ANU) MRMed (UNSW) FRANZCOG

Natalie was born and bred in Canberra and completed her Specialist training at the Canberra Hospital and St George Hospital in Sydney in 2019. She also completed a Masters of Reproductive Medicine at UNSW to broaden her knowledge in Reproductive Endocrinology. She has practiced as a Specialist in O&G in the public hospital for four years, and continues to work part time in the public system for the opportunity to teach junior doctors and service the Community she grew up in.


She is a patient-centred clinician, and individualises care based on best practice, the preferences of her patients, and their previous experiences. She ensures decision making is a joint process, and thrives on developing continuity with the families she cares for.


She recognises the importance of strong and timely communication with primary practitioners and referring clinicians, and looks forward to developing relationships and sharing care with local General Practitioners.

Dr Meiri Robertson

MBChB; BSc (MedSc Hons); DipFM (Fetal Medicine Foundation, London)

Dr Meiri Robertson is an experienced sonologist in women’s imaging. Her expertise is highly regarded by her peers and her advice is frequently sought for second opinion. Meiri cares deeply about her patients and often goes out of her way to help them.


She started her career in Women’s Health and Imaging 20 years ago in Cape Town where she obtained her undergraduate medical qualification and later a post-graduate clinical genetics degree. Meiri also completed the Fetal Medicine Foundation’s diploma in Fetal Medicine to complement her practice in the field. She was offered a Fetal Medicine Fellowship at the Canberra Hospital in 2003 and has called Australia home since then.


Meiri was the director at the Fetal Medicine Unit at the Centenary Hospital for Women & Children where she has close involvement with managing high risk pregnancies. She is a lecturer at the Australia National University and a board member of the Australasian Journal of Ultrasound In Medicine. Meiri was acknowledged for her contributions to the Australian Society of Ultrasound In Medicine in 2013 when she was named Volunteer of the year and in 2014 as the Sonologist of the Year. In her free time she juggles family life with her husband and two sons.

Dr Ken Tan

MBBS FRANZCOG DDU MRMed

Dr Ken Tan is a compassionate and experienced Obstetrician & Sonologist who is committed to caring for you and your baby. Dr Tan holds a Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound from Australian Society of Ultrasound Medicine, and is highly qualified to perform ultrasound assessment for your baby / babies.

Dr Tan has considerable expertise with complex high risk pregnancies (multiple pregnancies, pregnancy complicated with medical condition, fetal anomalies).


Ken is passionate about educational programs and is keen member of the Asio-Pacific Fetal Medicine community and continues to make contributions to expand knowledge. He has a keen interest in the future of stem cells in presenting serious diseases.

Dr Drew Marshall

BMedSci (Hons), MBBS, MPH, FRANZCOG, AFRACMA

Dr Drew Marshall is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who joined Canberra Obstetric in late 2023.


Drew is passionate about providing high quality, safe, patient-centred obstetric care. Drew is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He completed his medical degree at the University of Adelaide and undertook registrar training at Westmead and Nepean Hospitals in Sydney. In his final two years of specialist training, he was the Maternal-Fetal-Medicine Fellow at Nepean Hospital.


Drew worked as a Staff Specialist Consultant Obstetrician Gynaecologist at Nepean Hospital, before commencing private practice in 2022. Drew was born in Tasmania and now lives in Canberra with his wife and four young children. Drew consults private obstetrics and gynaecology patients in Barton and has recently joined us in Deakin for some more private obstetric consulting & delivery management.

Dr Alisha Azmir

MBBS FRACS DDU MRMed

Dr Alisha Azmir has trained in colorectal surgery through the Australia and New Zealand Training Board in Colon and Rectal Surgery. She has public hospital appointments at Canberra Hospital & North Canberra Hospital. She also works privately through Calvary Private Hospital Bruce & National Capital

Private Hospital.

Prior to this, she was awarded a Fellowship to the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in General Surgery in 2018. Her general surgical training was completed in Western Sydney and regional NSW. Dr Azmir attended medical school at the Australian National University and has also obtained a Master of Surgery from the University of Sydney. Her undergraduate studies also included a Bachelor of IT through the University of Technology Sydney.

Lauren Szallasi

IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant)

Lauren is a registered nurse and lactation consultant. She completed her new graduate year at The Canberra Hospital where she worked in paediatrics for five years. She then completed her masters in Child and Family Health Nursing and now works as a Maternal and Child Health Nurse with Canberra Health Services. Lauren completed her study to become a Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 2022. She thoroughly enjoys working with families, supporting them throughout their breastfeeding journey.
